From the Free Software Foundation’s Wget home page:
GNU Wget is a free software package for retrieving files using HTTP, HTTPS and FTP, the most widely-used Internet protocols. It is a non-interactive commandline tool, so it may easily be called from scripts, cron jobs, terminals without X-Windows support, etc. GNU Wget has many features to make retrieving large files or mirroring entire web or FTP sites easy…
This software is released under the GNU General Public License (version 3), and I have bundled it into a Mac OS X installer package. I am not the author, and thus cannot provide detailed technical support on the intricacies of program operation, except perhaps in the matters of installation—but please feel free to contact me with any problems that you might have.
